Travel to Live, Live to travel

 Travel to Live, Live to travel

Travelling is one of the best ways to communicate and interact with people. We can also learn different languages, see famous places and also see the beauty of nature.

I remember my last visit to Italy. My dad had a very important conference there. Since it was our vacation time, he invited us to visit with him. My joy knew no bounds. I had been waiting for this wonderful day to arrive, for a very long time. We quickly packed our bags and headed straight to the airport. Look at the busyness of nature there! The airport was buzzing with life and was as busy as a bee. I could see people with luggage waiting, vendors selling food and loudspeaker giving information about the flights. Thankfully, our flight arrived very soon. We went inside and… Wow! Dad had booked our seats in the first-class section. The seats were as soft as velvet. I sat beside the window seat to enjoy the beauty. After that, the plane took off. I felt the cool air touch my face as I looked out of the window. I saw the bright, blue sky and the green, paddy fields. I also saw the calm sea and the small and big waves hitting the shore. After that, it was sunset time. The golden cat looked so beautiful with the blending of Red, Orange and Yellow. I had never seen it look like this in Bhubaneswar. After a few more hours, we finally landed. I just couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a whole new different world. It was just SO BEAUTIFUL. We went to our hotel and booked our room. Then, we took our key, went to our room, dumped our suitcases, arranged our stuff and then took some rest. After that, we had some biscuits and then we went to explore. First, we went to see the Colosseum. It was epic. We learned about its history and were amazed. It turns out that this monument had been standing there for years. We asked our tour guide why it had been broken. He said that it was because of an earthquake in the 7th century that destroyed a part of it. Then, we went to see the leaning tower of Pisa. There too, I was amazed. Even though the tower was leaning, it was not falling at all. It was almost 9:30 at the night. My father suggested that we should go home. But I didn't want to as my dreams were not fulfilled yet. But, my dad explained that it was too late so we all went back. For the next few days, I felt like my life was straight out of a fairy tale. We explored many places like Florence Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, The Grand Canal in Venice, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Rialto Bridge and more, beaches like La Pelosa, Tropia Beach and did activities like taking a ride on Gondola, explored ancient Rome, went to a beach in Puglia and did water sports and even tried to make pasta. But, my favourite part was when we ate different kinds of pizza in different restaurants. It was so much tastier than the one back at home. After all that, we came back home.

I had so much fun in Italy. I learned to leave the comfort zone of my life and see nature’s ethereal beauty. I would surely suggest you visit Italy.

🧒👶Child Labour🧒👶

Child Labour

Child labour is the practice of engaging the children in economic activity, on a part or full-time basis and has been the most important concern in the world because it affects the children both mentally and physically. It also destroys the future of children. The Child labour act, of 1986 defines a child as a person who has not completed the age of 14 years. Every child is considered 'a gift of god' it must be nurtured with care and affection by the family and society. India is one of the foremost countries in Asia that has 33 million children employed in various forms of child labour. There are many causes of child labour i.e. poverty, debts, professional needs, etc.

Let me explain some of them.

Poverty

In some developing countries, poverty is one of the major problems and the children were considered as helping hand to feed their families. If they don’t work they will die of poverty and hunger. Because of poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, parents are unable to send them to school. So first we should try to eliminate poverty in society.

Debts

The poor economic state of people in India forces them to borrow money. The literate seeks debt from money lenders during emergencies later they find difficulty in paying back the debts so debtors drag their children too in support of them so that the debts could be paid off. They require children to work for them and do many dangerous works with glass. So, debt is also another cause of child labour.

Conclusion

I would like to conclude by saying that the remedy is only in the hands of the government. It needs to take the necessary steps to get rid of poverty by giving employment to the parents of child labourers. It is necessary to educate children. The government should allocate the necessary funds to educate poor children. There are many laws and authoritarian departments for child labour. But, up till now, these are unproductive in controlling ongoing child labour. This is possible only with the support of all the sections of society and the law enforcement agencies.  The people’s focus should be on controlling the population of the country, educating the children and providing sufficient funds for its removal from the gross domestic product of India rather than the luxury of their own.

Thanks!

April Fool Special😂😜😛🥱

Prank

Satish was standing on the balcony watching the last rays of the Sun. Loud and angry voices in the street below distracted his attention. He ran down the stairs to see what had happened. He saw some little boys, at each other's throats, for some reason. He went over to them to sort out their issue. He asked them about what had happened. The little boys told that they had lost their ball and it was behind the bushes. They were arguing about who will go and bring the ball. Satish told them that he would bring the ball. Then, he went to search for the ball. He saw some leaves were piled on the ground. He felt something was fishy. So, he removed the leaves just to see if there was a hole beneath. But, he could not find any hole. Still, he was careful not to step over it. He continued to search for the ball. As he was searching for the ball, He heard some noise. He looked towards the boys. They were now giggling and laughing. Satish saw some wood standing vertical around him.  That’s when he understood that he had been trapped in a wooden cage. He tried to break out of it but since he had not yet eaten his dinner, he had no strength. The boys were talking about something. He was all ears to their conversation. He heard them talking about the prank and some other unnecessary things that he didn’t need. As he was figuring out how to get out, he saw a man. Nothing was strange, except for his clothes. He was wearing dresses that looked like they were of some beggar, had half a red and white beard and jewellery of some rich person. He whispered something to the boys and then went away. “This man looks somewhat familiar. I need to find out who he is. But, first I must get out of this cage. Aargh! Great! Now I got a cut.” Satish said. Then, the boys suddenly told him to close his eyes. And, the boys removed the cage. After he got out, he wanted to yell at them for making HIM the victim of this silly prank. That’s when the man came, took off his fake beard, called his wife and all of them shouted, “APRIL FOOL”. That’s when Satish realized that the man was his DAD and his wife was his MOM. They went back home, covered Satish’s wound with a plaster, had good mirth at dinner and went back to bed.

Badminton🏸🏸

 My Favourite Sport

Sports are an integral part of our life. Badminton is one of the most popular sports in the world and also my favourite one.

I love to play badminton with my friends using rackets and a shuttlecock. Only 2 rackets, a net and a shuttlecock are required to play this game. Usually, in the evening hour, I used to play badminton. Playing badminton gives me lots of pleasure and keeps a good bond with my friends. Only 2 people can also play this game, and when I have fewer friends, I can play badminton with them.

Badminton is an outdoor game and it keeps me fit and healthy. After playing, badminton in the evening, I feel fresh and can concentrate on my studies. Playing badminton keeps me healthy, happy and fresh and hence, it is my favourite sport.

The Springs💐🌺🌻🌷🌹🦋

The spring

All seasons have different qualities in them but my favourite season is Spring. Spring is the season that comes after the cold winter but before the hot summer. I enjoy the wonderful fragrance of the beautiful flowers and varieties of colours of butterflies and new flowers that grow. Birds chirp early in the morning and wake me up. Although we get all fruits throughout the year, fresh strawberries are available in this season.

This season falls between March and April, during which period our exams are over. It is neither too hot nor too cold. The very pleasant weather and vacations enable me to travel to a place with my family and I enjoy it very much. Festivals like Holi and kite flying, fall during this period and which adds to my enjoyment.

The Spring season gives me ample chance to enjoy the beautiful, green nature with fragrance and aroma and hence, it is my favourite.

A special poem for Spring

Spring

Spring, spring is coming soon,

Grass is green and flowers bloom,

Birds returning from the south,

Bees are buzzing all about,

Leaves are buddign everywhere,

Sping, spring is finally here!

A Rainy Day☔🌧️

A Rainy Day

    A rainy day spreads instant joy and calmness in the atmosphere. It brings a smile on everyone's face and also gives a reason to celebrate. Inviting friends and celebrating with them on a rainy day is all the more enjoyable.

    School kids are overjoyed on a rainy day. A rainy day for them means a day full of fun. Small kids are seen holding colourful umbrellas and wearing beautiful raincoats. If it rains heavily, parents drop the children to school adding even more excitement. If the rain is heavier, many parents refrain from sending their kids to school. At times, the school also declares a holiday on such a day! What more can a school going child ask for? They get a chance to stay at home and enjoy the rain with their family and friends. A pleasant rainy day uplifts the mood instantly. It is a treat for the senses. Some love walking in the rain, others love to drench and dance in the rain while yet others love the view sitting on their window sill.

    It is great fun on a rainy day. I look forward to rainy days. Little discomfort caused on rainy days outweighs its joys and benefits. So let's all be happy and glad on a rainy day.

And here's a small poem for a rainy day.

The Rain

I hear leaves drinking rain;
I hear rich leaves on top
Giving the poor beneath
Drop after drop;

This a sweet noise to hear
These green leaves drinking near.

And when the sun comes out,
After this Rain shall stop,
A wondrous Light will fill
Each dark, round drop;
